Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar born in 24 April 1973) Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is a former Indian cricketer who captained the Indian national team. He is largely recognized as one of cricket's all-time great batsmen.[4]

With more over 18,000 runs and 15,000 runs, respectively, he is the all-time leading run-scorer in ODI and Test cricket.[5] In terms of man-of-the-match honors in international cricket, he also holds the record.[6] From 2012 until 2018, Sachin served as a Rajya Sabha member through nomination.[7][8]

Tendulkar began playing cricket at the age of eleven, made his Test match debut against Pakistan in Karachi on November 15, 1989, at the age of sixteen, and went on to play for Mumbai in domestic competitions and for India.

Tendulkar contributed to India reaching the final of the 2003 Cricket World Cup by scoring 673 runs in 11 games. Tendulkar received the Man of the Tournament award despite Australia winning. [135][136]

Greg Chappell, the Indian coach, criticized Tendulkar's attitude during the team's World Cup preparations in 2007. Tendulkar believed he would be better off opening the innings, as he had done for the majority of his career, but Chappell believed Tendulkar would be more valuable down the order. Tendulkar, in a rare display of emotion, reacted angrily to the remarks ascribed to Chappell by stating that no coach had ever said that his attitude toward cricket was insufficient.
